Adrian Wall

 
Adrian, the eldest of 3 children born to Stephen Wall & Fannie Loretto, was born in September of 1970 in Albuquerque, New Mexico and enrolled in the Jemez Pueblo Tribe.  Encouraged from an early age to create figurines and sculptures from his native Jemez Clay, Adrian developed a keen awareness of the three dimensional arts.
 
In the spring of 1989, he began stone sculpting and quickly learned, with the help from other noted sculptors, the techniques and respect needed to define the stone.  He currently works in his Albuquerque studio, using primarily New Mexico alabaster and limestone.
 
“I feel a sense of pride in the fact that my work can relate to my indigenous culture, using materials found in the same area.  My works vary from the realistic to the abstract, but every piece bears my distinct style.  The beauty of the stone and my culture remain an exciting and inspirational element in my stone sculptures.”
